"The Sound of Cougar Pride"
The New Prairie Marching Cougars, or also known as "The Sound of Cougar Pride," provides the soundtrack of New Prairie High School. The ensemble is a marching band, which performs a variety of repertoire. They perform pop tunes, classical literature, soundtracks of cinema, and much more. The Marching Cougars can be seen and heard in community performances, home New Prairie football games, at marching band competitions, and many more events. The Marching Cougars consist of students from 8th-12th Grade.

2023 Marching Band Show To Be Announced on May 15th
Introducing our 2022 marching band show, Pure Imagination. The show takes you through the emotions felt and the thrill of a hot air balloon ride. The of a hot air balloon ride symbolizes creative imagination sparked by the experience of being lost in great and passionate thoughts and ideas, hence the nod to the famous song, Pure Imagination. The show is designed by Keith Dunton, music written by Ben Hylton, and drill written by Brandon Wickham. The 2022 Marching Band staff inlcudes Trey Bradshaw (flute), Ella Jasnieski (clarinet and NPHS grad), Sam Peters (saxophone), Corbin Gall (brass and NPHS grad), Andy Morris (percussion), Denton Sutherland (percussion), Jacen Rae (percussion and NPHS grad), Emily Rowe (color guard and NPHS grad), and Hayley Shankland (color guard and NPHS grad.)
